The Downtown_Seattle_Transit_Tunnel originally opened as as just a bus_tunnel.

Of course it would be of great benefit if downtown Vancouver had a bus and LRT tunnel to the North Shore, but that might improve on regional mobility and relieve some congestion. Fortunately, SF & Seattle don't have the same inept transportation planning standards as backwards Vancouver, BC.
