This should have been a double track train loop. Then in a way, it could have been the Detroit version of the Chicago loop. However, unlike the actual Loop in Chicago, the Detroit loop wouldn't be connecting to a larger set of train lines. Perhaps Detroit should have just opted for a loop bus route instead.
